To put the icing on the cake of a truly memorable summer of "Sex, Drugs and 70s Disco", the last week in August was undoubtedly one of the most significant for the band so far. The occasion: our first radio airplay, and on the BBC too courtesy of David White. This raised the obvious question:-
"Where do you go from here?" and a predictably flippant response:- "As far away as possible".

So, whilst most of the band were either lapping up the media attention back home or soaking up the sun au Med , I was cruising leisurely south en France. Ostensibly drumming up overseas publicity, I was sharing the coach with a cracking bunch who had enjoyed most of the summer in the venue of our next gig.

Therefore, it was with a sense of deja-vu that we returned to the "Harlyn Inn" mid-September. But any delusions of an imminent, stratospheric rise to stardom came crashing back to earth as we realised our celebrity status changing rooms remained the back of Spiff's camper van ...... worrying.

Even so, what could easily have passed off as a quiet, end of season, no frills gig suddenly burst into life with a thundering rendition of "Knock on Wood" that raised the dance floor and thereby ensured we kept intact the "DiscoinKernow" promise ... just.

Sadly this was not the case in Porthtowan two days later. As a deliberate, pre-emptive response to all the (anticipated) media hype, and not wanting to be seen to have sold out and risk losing our loyal underground following, we arranged a last minute "secret" gig at "Shakers". Unfortunately, so successful was this ploy that hardly anyone turned up, but we were really grateful to those that did. Some audience feedback, from both of you :-

"Why not change your name to 'Treloggan Transfer'".
Eh? ..... and .....
"I hate Disco ...... but you're fab"
Thankyou, we think.

So here we are back on Planet Earth, hard at work at Redruth Studios over the next few weeks recording a second album, which will hopefully be available in time for the Xmas rush, so no need to panic just yet ..... more on that soon.
