"The Coppice" was , again , an excellent gig , but this time there were hidden forces at work. Apparently there was an agent hidden in the extensive crowd of adoring fans . No , not the kind in a black suit with a bow-tie which is really a camera , but the musical variety . He came to check us out and , by all accounts , was suitably impressed . Shedloads of exclusive , highly-paid performances just around the corner then . Not only that , there was also a real person in the audience who posted some useful comments on our website forum . Thank you John , we've already acted upon your observations . I'm not suggesting that the rest of the people in the room weren't real , although .........
The changing room was , once again , Spiff's van in the car park . Or , actually outside the van , as the poor unsuspecting young lady found out as she turned the corner to find three semi-naked (youthful) middle-aged men donning seventies disco clothes . Poor girl will probably never be the same again .

Nige and I used his magic powder to improve our fretboard prowess . It's surprising how little you need to make those fingers glide over the strings . No! Not Bolivian marching powder , I'm talking about talc . A little boots baby powder works wonders (rock and roll). The superb gig was topped off by there being not only a late bar , but also late food . Somewhere between mouthfuls of "cholesterol-in-a-bap" and "gruesome-gravy-grooveburgers" we established the fact that , over the years , ladies' swimwear has become smaller and smaller , whilst men's swimshorts have substantially increased in size .
What an absolutely wonderful result!

So, apart from Mandi ( the second hottest thing in the band , Spiff being the first , of course ) none of us have done it two nights in a row before . Mandi having done it on cruise ships three times a day , seven days a week!

I'm refering to performing , of course , musically , that is . Two gigs in a row; Friday's was a return visit to "The Coppice" in Lanner , Saturday's was our first outing to the "Whitehouse" , Perranzabuloe .

"The Whitehouse" . What a top gig! A proper stage , adjacent changing room , late bar and food . What more could a band want ? In said changing room was an array of wigs and outfits which , when added to our own already dazzling costumes , made the night even more wigadelic . We actioned John's observations , which improved the lighting . The smoke machine was good , so efficient in fact that at one point we forgot which venue we were actually playing in and rumour has it that Anna eventually found the half a lung she coughed up and is recovering well .
