12th Jan, 2006. "Red Lion", Redruth.

The room was quiet. Then an expectant buzz as the band strode on. Lights dimmed - then music!! People swayed, someone gyrated on the dance floor.. The reality was that the buzz was Wal, who had a loose earth which caused the lights to fail. The swaying was a drunk at the bar, and someone was having a fit. A normal "Disco InKernow" gig?

Seriously, this one at the "Red Lion" in Redruth featured a lovely, welcoming bunch of people who made it an excellent night. Not too busy, but for a midweek night just after Christmas? Not bad at all!

The band cruised through the standard intro; "Disco Inferno" and "Aint No Stoppin' Us Now" (I hear musiccaaahh!!), followed by "Boogie Oogie Oogie" with Annas smoky voice -then Mandi belting out "Play That Funky Music" - Awesome!! And on it went, playing to a small but enthusiastic crowd who yelled for more at the end, making it all worth while again.
